Conference on "IA and mathematics for meteorology and climatology", May 5th 2025 at the Collège de France, organised by Pierre-Louis Lions and Stéphane Mallat :
This one-day conference will discuss the state of the art at the interface of mathematics, physics and AI for meteorology forecasting and climatologic models. There will be 6 presentations:
- Michael Brenner, Harvard University, "The neural GCM and other remarks"
- Thomas Dubos, École Polytechnique, "Hamiltonian insights and the challenge of unresolved processes in geophysical models"
- Laure Zana, Courant Institute, NYU, "Reshaping climate modelling with AI"
- Remi Lam, Google DeepMind, "Learning global weather forecasting from data"
- Claire Monteleoni, INRIA, "Confronting climate change with generative and self-surpervised machine learning"
- Marc Bocquet, École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, "Artificial Intelligence for gephysical data assimilation"
